Job Description
Designers for Somerville, MA location. Produce concept, schematic and design development documents for large-scale US and international public and private projects, including large scale urban, mixed-use and housing projects (construction cost worth >$50M). Involved in project from concept through completion to develop and execute the design including rational and complex geometries. Assist team with project coordination and construction phase of projects. Incorporate landscape design principles and ecological integration into architecture and urban design. Participate in presentations to clients. Tools: AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino, Adobe Suite, rendering software (EnScape, Lumion, VRay, Twinmotion); digital modeling, 3D tools (3D Max, 3D visualization, 3D renderings), Revit; BIM; ArcGIS.
Job Requirements
Master's degree in Architecture with specialization in Urban Design or related field plus two years of experience as an Intern Architect/Designer required. Skills required: experience designing US private projects, large scale master planning and mixed use development projects with an estimated construction cost of >$50M; experience with AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite, and rendering software (EnScape, Lumion, VRay, Twinmotion); excellent visual and verbal communication skills; Strong working knowledge of REVIT; experience with ArcGIS; experience working on large scale urban and housing projects; expertise with project coordination and construction phase; experience with landscape design principles and ecological integration into architecture and urban design. $80,000/year-$85,000/year.
