Lecture | "The Ripple Effect"

Charu Kokate speaks at CoreNet Global's Annual Symposium

"The ripple effect is the notion that a single action has an effect over several different entities. When you drop a pebble in a pond, it creates a series of ripples that span out over the water to move surface plants around and disrupt the animals that may be on the water."

Charu Kokate, Principal and Director of Safdie Architects' Singapore office, delivered a speech to 280 executives from the Corporate Real Estate Industry at CoreNet Global Singapore Chapter’s 2019 Annual Symposium.

The theme for the symposium was “The Ripple Effect.”

Exploring how the built environment and workplace are experienced as a physical expression of an organization, its vision and its values, by the people who work or visit there, Charu Kokate was invited to deliver a talk on engaging the five senses. Titled “Experience Wonder: The crown Jewel of Singpore,” her talk contributed to an array of programming – alongside CEOs, COOs and TV Adventurers – dedicated to honing the ripple effect and gaining a fresh perspective on the evolving world of Corporate Real Estate.
