Jay O has been an instrumental member of design teams since he joined Safdie Architects in 2012. During these past eleven years, he has led design team efforts for numerous competitions, master plans, and concept designs. He has also served as the Project Architect, coordinating design, programmatic, technical, and code requirements during the design phase of many of the firm’s residential and mixed-use projects. As Principal, Jay joins the leadership team offering an even greater influence on the development and growth of our junior designers as well as our most complex projects around the world.

Fengru Huang joined Safdie Architects in the summer of 2023. After only a few months at the firm, she obtained a deep and thorough understanding of the firm’s business and financial practices and led her department to a successful closing of the fiscal year. Huang’s transformational contributions to the firm include a focus on project financial analytics, fostering open communication between the accounting and architectural sides of the practice, and working closely with the Partners and Principals on project forecasting and financial management.
