Moshe Safdie explains to Sonia Kolesnikov-Jessop of CNN Travel : "We need to rethink our public spaces.  Jewel Changi Airport makes us rethink what urban centers could be if we stretch our thinking a bit." 

Jewel Changi Airport will be a destination in its own right.  The story explores the ambitious project including the details of the glass enclosure construction, as well as the “magical garden” at its center.  The project is 75% complete and slated to open in 2019.
