Tony DePace is the Director of the Model Shop. With 30 years of experience at Safdie Architects, Tony manages an in-house team of professional model-builders who work closely with the design architects to develop custom-built models for each one of the firm’s projects throughout all phases of design. Tony actively oversees operations of a full woodworking shop and a wide range of digital fabrication tools and equipment. He has a special interest in developing innovative fabrication and graphic techniques to help communicate architectural design value through the firm’s physical models.

With a background of 13 years in industrial design and engineering prototyping, Tony joined the firm in 1988 and was made an Associate in 1993.
