Jay S. O, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is a Principal and Senior Project Designer for a wide variety of projects at Safdie Architects. With strong design skills and architectural experience, Jay has led design team efforts for several competitions, master plans, and concept designs. He has also served in the role of Project Architect, coordinating design, programmatic, technical, and code requirements during the design phase of many of the firm’s residential and mixed-use projects in New York, Korea, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia.

Jay joined Safdie Architects in 2012, was named a Senior Associate in 2019, Associate Principal in 2021, and Principal in 2023. Prior to joining Safdie Architects, he worked at Rafael Viñoly Architects in New York. Jay earned a Master in Architecture from Konkuk University in Korea, as well as a Master in Architecture from Columbia University, New York, in 2008. He is a Registered Architect in New York.
