Seunghyun Kim

Senior Associate

Seunghyun Kim is the Director of Design Technology at Safdie Architects. He is responsible for managing architectural visualization, algorithmic and generative design, and virtual reality experimentation across the firm’s projects. He has taught advanced workshops in design computing and digital fabrication and lectured on the subject. Seunghyun is also active as a Project Architect and Project Designer for numerous competitions and projects. Notable projects include Project Jewel at Changi Airport in Singapore, Albert Einstein Learning and Research Center in Brazil, Surbana Jurong Corporate Headquarters in Singapore and Marina Bay Sands Expansion in Singapore. 

Seunghyun joined the office in 2013 and became a Senior Associate in 2021. He earned a Master of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture in 2011 and a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from Hongik University in 2003. He is a Member of Korean Institute of Registered Architects.
