Lecture | The Shape of Things to Come

Jaron Lubin presents at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Jaron Lubin, Senior Partner at Safdie Architects, was invited to speak at Rensselaer School of Architecture's Spring 2024 Lecture Series. On April 17th, Jaron presented his lecture 'The Shape of Things to Come' to the RPI architecture community, in which he discussed the role that architects play in shaping the built environment.

"It's incredible to think about how many people our projects touch. I read that over 500 million people alone have made their way through Marina Bay Sands, for example. And we believe that it's important to leave this place better than we found it. That's what's so impressive about what architecture can do. The buildings we designed, which are a significant investment in our time and our collective intellectual capabilities, of our client's money and resources, they have to stand the test of time.

It speaks to the responsibility we hold and to our ability to influence and create sustainable, positive social change to shape the world in which we live and to be an active participant in the shape of things to come."
