Panel | CTBUH The Future City 2021

Pursuing the Future of Habitation

In November, the Council for Tall Building and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) met in Chicago for The FUTURE City, a conference focused on Addressing Carbon, Climate and Societal Crises. Gathering together for an in-person conference for the first time since 2019, leaders from the AEC industry discussed some of the world’s most pressing questions.

Presenting Pursuing the Future of Habitation, Partner Jaron Lubin spoke to the larger issues of building and city design. In his talk he urged professionals to recall collaboration models such as that of the Habitat Bill of Rights, and begin to think collectively about how to affect real, necessary change. Joining Rafael Carreira of Riverside Investment & Development, Anke Beyer-Lout of CPP, Scott Duncan of SOM, Lubin spoke as part of a panelist discussion, moderated by CTBUH President Antony Wood.
