According to Wall Street Journal Contributor Michael Lewis, the recent decade began with a faltering financial recovery but the skyscrapers and cultural buildings now gracing skylines are triumphant. In his breakdown of this decade’s architecture, Lewis includes Crystal Bridges – alongside the Whitney, MoMA and the Barnes Foundation – as a notable building of culture. He says, “Just as ambitious, and successful, Moshe Safdie’s Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art has made remote Bentonville, Ark., an unlikely pilgrimage site.”
